Curious Barabara.

Felt, glass, 78 cm. 2023. ⠀ In Russian there is a proverb "a curious Varvara's nose was torn off in the market", this is similar to the English proverb "curiosity killed the cat." When I was a little girl, I constantly heard this proverb addressed to me from a variety of people. But always in the same context - I was too interested in how the world works. (Too interesting according to adults.) Now I'm an adult myself, but I'm even more curious! Curiosity is an impulse that stimulates you to cross the border of the familiar and makes everything around you richer and brighter (even if life pulls your nose a little.)
